Slough Heat & Power supply electrical power and some district heating within the Slough Trading Estate area. They have an existing boiler plant but have recently installed a new boiler dedicated to burning waste materials. This waste is largely shredded and partially densified paper, cardboard and plastics.

This is stored in a Saxlund Push Floor bunker mounted at ground level so it can be loaded either from tipping vehicles that drive onto the Push Floor area or from overhead conveyors. The machine discharges on-demand at a metered rate to the boiler bunker via a system of conveyors. The plant is operated by an SH&P subsidiary called Fibre Fuel Ltd.
